Involvement of the AKG in personnel recruitment procedures
1. Writing the tender text
- Send the tender text to the responsible AKG member (see Contact) at least 14 days ahead of publication (works via TISS).
- The text must not contain any direct or indirect discrimination, must be accurate in terms of the position's outlined tasks and the desired applicant profile, and must be gender-neutral.
- The text will be published in the university gazette of TU Wien after confirmation by the AKG member.
2. Approaching potential female applicants
- On the day of publication of the tender: Actively approach suitable female candidates (see AKG guidelines, german only).
- Specifically: Implement appropriate measures in accordance with the AKG form relevant to the type of position (german only).
- Keep evidence of the implementation of the measures for forwarding to the responsible AKG member.
3. Conducting job interviews
- After the application deadline, a list of all applicants and application documents must be sent to the responsible AKG member (done automatically via eRecruiter).
- Invite all female applicants who meet the requirements of the tender text, in case of doubt the responsible AKG member may propose additional people to be interviewed.
- The AKG member must be invited to the job interview in a timely manner (at least 5 working days prior and ideally by coordinating the date together ahead of time).
- Job interviews must be conducted in an objective and non-discriminatory manner.
4. Presenting a staffing proposal
- Current form for data sheet and staffing proposal is available from Human Ressources.
- Explain the reasons for hiring the proposed person(s) in an objective manner.
- After filling out the form and obtaining the relevant signatures (including from the responsible AKG member), upload it to the eRecruiter.

Requirements
Universities Act 2002
- All job vacancies at TU Wien must be advertised. The only exceptions are for lecturers and fixed-term positions funded by third-party fund (see § 107 (1) and (2) UG).
