There is a free, NHS-run health service on Mile End campus, just for students.

How to access healthcare as a student

If you are a UK student and already have a GP at home, we recommend that you register with one close to where you live during term-time, such as the Student Health Service.

If you cannot register with the Student Health Service for clinical reasons, or if it's more convenient to register with a doctor close to where you live, you can find a list of local doctors through the NHS find a GP website.

If you are an international student, your access to healthcare will depend on your type of visa and length of stay:  read up on how to access healthcare as an international student.

Health checklist for new students

  1. Register with the Student Health Service.
  2. Check that your vaccinations are up to date.
  3. Follow Student Life on Instagram to keep up to date with events and advice to support your health and wellbeing.
