Financial Support for Veterans

At Rice University, we deeply appreciate the valuable contributions of our veterans and are committed to supporting their educational aspirations. If you are eligible for multiple benefits, please reference the VA's Benefits Comparison Tool and contact our School Certifying Official (SCO) with additional questions.

Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33)

GI Bill benefits help qualifying Veterans and their family members pay for college, graduate school, and training programs. If you applied for and were awarded Post-9/11 GI Bill education benefits, your GI Bill Statement of Benefits will show you how much of your benefits you’ve used and how much you have left to use.

Yellow Ribbon Program (YRP)

The Yellow Ribbon Program can help participating students pay for higher out-of-state, private school, foreign school, or graduate school tuition and fees that the Post-9/11 GI Bill doesn’t cover. To learn more about YRP eligibility requirements, please click here!
