## **Financial Support for Veterans**

At Rice University, we deeply appreciate the valuable contributions of our veterans and are committed to supporting their educational aspirations. If you are eligible for multiple benefits, please reference the [VA's Benefits Comparison Tool](https://www.va.gov/education/gi-bill-comparison-tool/) and contact our [School Certifying Official (SCO)](https://military.rice.edu/people) with additional questions.

### **Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33)**

GI Bill benefits help qualifying Veterans and their family members pay for college, graduate school, and training programs. If you applied for and were awarded Post-9/11 GI Bill education benefits, your GI Bill Statement of Benefits will show you how much of your benefits you’ve used and how much you have left to use.

[Review your GI Bill Statement of Benefits](https://www.va.gov/education/gi-bill/post-9-11/ch-33-benefit/)

### **Yellow Ribbon Program (YRP)**

The Yellow Ribbon Program can help participating students pay for higher out-of-state, private school, foreign school, or graduate school tuition and fees that the Post-9/11 GI Bill doesn’t cover. To learn more about YRP eligibility requirements, please click [**here**](https://www.va.gov/education/about-gi-bill-benefits/post-9-11/yellow-ribbon-program/#learn-more-about-the-yellow-ri)!

#### Notes about the Yellow Ribbon Program:

- You must be eligible at 100% for the Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33)
