# Declaration on Accessibility

The PoL makes every effort to make its website physics-of-life.tu-dresden.de accessible without barriers in accordance with the national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

## Issuing of this Declaration on Accessibility

This declaration was issued on 4 September 2020. The last verification of this website by means of self-assessment was carried out on 2 December 2025.

The basis for the issuing of this Declaration on Accessibility is a self-assessment of the website's compatibility with the requirements of the BfWebG in accordance with BITV 2.0, carried out by PoL.

## Status of compatibility with the requirements of the BITV

The web presence of the PoL does not yet fully correspond to the current state of accessibility.

## Content that is not deemed accessible

- Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) attributes for orientation within elements might not be available throughout the whole website
- Alternatives for images and graphic elements are not fully available.
- Words and sections in other languages can currently not be marked (Legal Notice and Privacy Policy pages).
- In some places (especially headers on top of background images), contrasts between background and text might not be high enough.
