### University of Minnesota Delegation Visits IIT Kanpur to Explore Future Collaborations

On **July 1st, 2024**, a delegation from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, USA, visited IIT Kanpur. **Prof. Bushra Ateeq,** Dean of International Relations at IIT Kanpur, welcomed **Dr. Shashank Priya,** Vice President for Research and Innovation at the University of Minnesota, along with several distinguished IIT Kanpur faculty members. The IIT Kanpur representatives included **Prof. Tarun Gupta,** Dean of Research and Development; **Prof. Raju Gupta,** Academic Program Director of the IIT Kanpur-La Trobe University Research Academy; **Prof. Debopam Das** from the Department of Aerospace Engineering; co-Professors in-charge of the SIIC**, Prof. Ankush Sharma, Prof. Amitabha Bandyopadhyay** and **Prof. Deepu Philip.**

The delegation visited the **Gangwal School of Medical Science and Technology (GSMST),** the **Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering,** and the **Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering.**

The meeting was initiated by **Prof. Ateeq** and focused on future collaborations in research and education between the **University of Minnesota** and **IIT Kanpur**. This initiative is expected to significantly enhance the academic and research partnership between the two institutions.
