The project set out to look at how the Paralympics could be harnessed to shift disability stigma in Sub-Saharan African contexts.
Research aimed to build insights and inform strategic approaches through action research processes and qualitative methods. A series of pilot strategies were implemented around community engagement, broadcast and athlete development.

- Broadcast Tokyo 2020 Paralympics to 42 African countries. Expand coverage to include Paris 2024 Paralympics.
Athlete Development

Establish coaching model to train new Paralympic coaches, increasing Para athletes. Capture stories of Para athlete role models.
