What to do in an emergency

Keep calm, briefly assess the danger and call emergency services immediately.

Police, Fire brigade and ambulance

Fire brigade and ambulance: 112\ Police: 110

When making an emergency call, give the following details:

Fire, smoke or smell of burning, uncontrolled release of hazardous substances

Keep calm and phone the fire brigade: dial 112

Get yourself to safety

Try to extinguish the fire

In the case of small scale spillages of hazardous substances

Protect yourself

The following measures are to be carried out by experienced staff only:

Person threatening suicide

Inform the police: dial 110

Suspicious objects, letters or parcels

Suspicious persons or incidents (e.g. face covering, suspicious behavior or statements, person is possibly armed)

Verbal threat/harassment/stalking

Inform the police: dial 110

Shootings, hostage taking, use of weapons

Escape

Hide

Inform the police: dial 110

Power cut

Safety first

Water, gas or heating has been cut off

Failure of communication devices (telephones, mobile phones, data communication)

Loss or theft of IT devices used for work purposes

Give first aid

In the case of emergency, always administer first aid to the best of your abilities.
