**Introduction**\
The Centre of Social Innovation (CoSI) Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS was established on November 2014. Social Innovation refers to a novel solution to a social problem that is effective, efficient, sustainable for which the value created accrues primarily to society as a whole rather than private individuals. Social innovation supports the development, implementation, and sustainability, addressing social needs through innovative approaches.\

The Centre provides support to identify and develop core research agenda and capabilities in the fundamental and advanced domains related to intelligent cities, from the social and humanities dimension - Social, Economics and Behavioral studies.\

To be a leader for the advancement of society through social innovation.\
\

**Mission**\

- To spearhead multi-disciplinary research that will generate innovative and sustainable solutions towards improving quality of life in the context of modern cities.\
- To strategise and enhance the diffusion and adoption of innovation for the betterment of society through strategic partnership.\
- To conduct research for enhancement on society’s entrepreneurial capabilities through technology and innovation.
