| The Planning and Performance Reporting Unit acts as a vital link between strategic planning and day-to-day operations, providing the necessary tools and information to optimize research outcomes and ensure accountability and compliance.    In addition to fostering a connection between strategic planning and daily operations, the Planning and Performance Reporting Unit serves as a catalyst for organizational improvement. By meticulously analyzing performance metrics and data trends, the unit identifies areas of strength and opportunities for enhancement within research initiatives. | ​ |

| **Strategic Planning**  - Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with the organization's research goals and objectives. - Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure strategic alignm​ent and coherence.    **Performance Measurement**   - Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of research activities. - Establish performance metrics to track progress and evaluate the success of research projects.     **Data Analysis**   - Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to research activities. - Utilize data analytics to derive insights and inform decision-making processes. ​​ | The Planning & Performance Reporting unit includes: **Reporting**     - ​Generate​ comprehensive and timely reports on the performance of research initiatives.   - Provide clear and concise information to support informed decision-making by management and stakeholders.           ​**Compliance**         - Ensure a​​dherence to regulatory requirements and ethical standards in research.       - Monitor compliance with funding agency guidelines and reporting obli​gations.​​​​​​​​​   ​**Communication**   - Facilitate communication between different departments and teams within the research organization. - Disseminate information regarding research achieve​ments, challenges, and strategic directions to internal and external stakeholders.   **Budgeting and Resource Allocation**   - Work with budgeting teams to develop research project budgets. - Allocate resources efficiently to maximize research output within budget constraints. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​     ​ |
