The campaign aims to expand students’ awareness of the nature of professions related to their field of specialization and to raise students’ awareness of the skills required for professions in the job market, in addition to creating awareness among students of the importance of career planning.

Professions

Doctor’s Career

Doctors examine patients to diagnose diseases and injuries, prescribe appropriate treatment, or refer patients to specialized physicians for further care. They may instruct them on how to follow a healthy lifestyle.

Skills:

Career Paths:

Graduate: You will need to complete a medical school degree, usually 5-7 years.

Junior Doctor: Work and teach in a foundation program or so-called “residency” for 2 years or more. After that, you will go through a specialized training period of 3-6 years in one field of your choice from more than 60 different areas, for example, pediatrics, internal medicine, or psychiatry.

General Physician: The general physician is usually the first point of contact for patients with health problems.

Dental Career

Dentists diagnose and treat gum disease and teeth decay, advise patients on the most effective methods of cleaning teeth and mouth and provide cosmetic treatments to improve the appearance of teeth. Dentists may work in hospitals to perform restorative surgeries for patients with facial injuries, or they may perform dental routine check-ups for dental care in specialized clinics.

Career Paths:

Graduated: You will need to study at a dental school to obtain a dental degree to practice this profession. The program extends for 5 years, including two years of practical training.

General dentist: General dentist evaluates dental health care, provides advice on preventing dental diseases, and performs some medical procedures (dislodged or simple fillings). Works in specialized centers, mobile clinics, or hospitals.

Physiotherapist Career

A Physiotherapist plays a major role in treating patients with physical problems resulting from injuries, disabilities, diseases or old age. The physiotherapist uses multiple treatment methods including (massage, hydrotherapy, and exercise) to help patients recover and deal with their condition. Physiotherapists usually work in hospitals alongside other health care professionals such as nurses, professional therapists, and social workers.

Career paths:

Graduate: Before you begin practicing as a physical therapist, you will need a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.

General Physiotherapist: Once you work as a qualified physical therapist, you can take specific courses to expand your knowledge skills.

Sport Physiotherapist: Sport Physiotherapist treats a range of sports injuries. He/ She also provides guidance on injury prevention, fitness programs, and nutrition.

Accountant Career

Accountants play a key role in all companies and institutions, as they organize financial operations and ensure the smooth flow of laws related to financial systems, and prepare and write annual financial reports. Some of them may specialize in detecting financial misappropriation in the institution.

Career Paths:

Graduate: With your bachelor’s degree, you can apply to training programs for those with a bachelor’s degree, which are offered by many accounting firms, public sector institutions and commercial companies.

Accountant: It is recommended to obtain some professional certificates to excel and advance in the field of accounting, such as (CMA) for financial accounting, (CPA) for tax accountants, and (CIA) for auditing and reviewing accountants.

Information Systems Analys Career

The information systems analyst identifies the main components of the database of the organization’s information system and sets policies and standards for its management. He/ She also analyzes and describes the problems that the system suffers from by working directly with users and programmers, in addition to providing suggestions on how to re-design the system to help in increasing its efficiency.

Career Paths:

Graduate: To become a systems analyst, you will need a degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related major.

Systems Analyst: A systems analyst works closely with business managers to develop effective IT systems. As an analyst, you can suggest or install new software or hardware, and test the new system and teach the staff how to use it.

Economic Analyst Career

The economic analyst conducts researches and analyzes how individuals and companies spend their money, and how they make use of resources such as migrant workers and energy. The economic analyst also writes reports and projections for companies and governments who use the information in various ways to shape their policies and enact legislation regarding wages and taxes or make them more competitive compared to their opponents.

Skills:

Career Paths:

Researcher: With a degree in economics or finance, you may find a job at the junior level as a researcher at a financial institution. Through experience and higher qualifications, you can apply to more senior roles.

Economic researcher (with experience, you become an economist): You will work in government institutions, in public sector organizations, or various academic and administrative advisory roles. This job relies heavily on data analysis and the use of mathematical techniques, and with experience, you can become a statistician, policy analyst, or investment banker.

Marketing Specialist Career

The marketing specialist is responsible for introducing the public to the brand and create loyalty to it in the targeted group. Through marketing research prepared in different ways, to collect information that helps institutions understand their customers’ needs and priorities and create and develop new products that contribute to increasing sales and profits of institutions and then analyzing the results to write reports on people’s opinions of the product and how to develop and improve it. It may include political or social issues.

Graduate: To become a marketing specialist, you will need to complete a bachelor’s degree in related disciplines such as marketing, communications, business administration, or advertising.

Brand Manager: After gaining experience, you can be promoted to brand manager, who is responsible for building the identity of the organization, formulating marketing strategies, supervising marketing research, and setting marketing budgets.

Mechanical Engineer Career

The mechanical engineer career is one of the broadest and most comprehensive engineering career. The mechanical engineer designs, builds, tests, operates and repairs machines that operate and are used in many sectors, ranging from household and medical appliances to cars, trains, airplanes, and ending with power stations. In his work, he uses computer programs that help in building prototypes.

Graduate: Obtaining a university degree qualification in the field of mechanical engineering, after completing your bachelor’s degree you can join the graduate training program in companies and organizations large and small.

Mechanical Engineer: You will have many options in this field.
