Section Overview

The University Textbooks Section is responsible for providing textbooks for students and faculty members at Qatar University, in addition to managing purchasing process in coordination with the relevant colleges and departments, in accordance with the approved regulations and decisions.

Mission

Ensuring that students and faculty members at Qatar University have their required textbooks, to support their academic journey and enhances students' chances of success and academic growth.

Textbooks Distribution Dates for Faculty Members

Starting from 12 January 2026, faculty members can request textbooks through theSelf-Service System for faculty members. Textbooks can be collected from the University Textbooks Section, located on the ground floor of the Student Affairs Building (I11), from Sunday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

To receive printed textbooks, students should visit the University Textbooks Section in the Student Affairs Building (I11) - ground floor and follow these instructions:

Textbooks Delivery Service

This optional service allows the delivery of printed textbooks assigned to student courses. The service can now be requested through the Self-Service System with additional fees.

Frequently Asked Questions by Faculty Members

  1. How can I request the assigned printed textbooks? By logging into the self-service system for textbook distribution and selecting the assigned textbooks. You can refer to the instructional guide for requesting the assigned textbooks.
  2. What if the required textbook is not available in the self-service system? This means that the textbook is out of stock or has not been requested by the college.
  3. Can a faculty member track the status of textbook purchases by students during the semester? Yes, this can be done through the "Students Textbooks Status Report" in the self-service system, which shows the sales statistics by students. Please refer to the guide for generating the Students Textbooks Status Report.
