Study Programme
The programme comprises seven compulsory modules: Psychopathology, therapeutic approaches, assessment and diagnostics, psychotherapy research, framework conditions and non-psychotherapeutic treatment practice, exercises psychotherapeutic treatment methodology, and practical components.
A (partial) inpatient/psychiatric internship and an internship in a psychotherapeutic institution with a main focus on professionally qualifying activities serve as an introduction to postgraduate psychotherapeutic specialist training (third training section in accordance with the Psychotherapy Act 2024).

Can I study while working? The master's programme in Psychotherapy is a full-time programme and is not designed to be pursued while working.
Do you have questions about exam recognition? Please be patient. The SSC Psychology is not yet able to provide any information regarding potential recognition of exams.
Is it possible to take part in mobility programmes in this programme? As things stand, there will be no mobility programmes.
Am I a psychotherapist after completing my master's programme? No, there is a third phase of training. You must complete a postgraduate specialization programme with a recognized professional association in a specific psychotherapeutic method (minimum 82 ECTS credits). There is a fee for this phase.
