# International Doctoral Candidates

The University of Vienna welcomes doctoral candidates from all around the world. Around one third of our doctoral candidates are from outside of Austria, 15% come from Third Countries.

International applicants who aim at applying for a doctoral programme at the University of Vienna can find information on the programmes and the process [here](https://doktorat.univie.ac.at/en/phd-process/). The doctoral programmes are open to all nationalities, there are no specific programmes for international applicants.
