Registering political activities
If you’ve been directed by a non-UK government to organise a political protest or paid campaign, or to lobby UK MPs, you may need to register these activities under the Foreign Influence Registration Scheme (FIRS). This scheme enhances transparency around foreign influence in the UK. If you’re not sure whether your activity needs to be registered under FIRS, email firs@sussex.ac.uk.
