## Yale College students select from over 80 majors without the restrictions of a core curriculum.

## Selecting a major

Yale students enroll in four or five courses each semester to complete a total of thirty-six courses. Every student begins their Yale journey *undeclared* and has until the end of sophomore year to choose a major. For most students, courses in their major will comprise just one third of their total coursework.
