From classroom to university lab: Paul discovers bioprocess engineering
Last week (July 21–25, 2025) we welcomed Paul Blaschko, a 10th-grade student from Gymnasium Landau a. d. Isar, for a one-week internship at the Professorship for Bioprocess Engineering (BVT), TUM Campus Straubing.
During his stay, Paul:
- toured our labs and discussed projects with our students,
- pipetted his own enzyme dilutions,
- joined a downstream processing lecture,
- and dived into literature research on resveratrol.
We also appreciated a visit from his teacher, Ms. Monika Rösler, for a quick lab tour and progress check. Now Paul is back at school and will present his experience to his peers.
Thank you, Paul—your curiosity and initiative made the week a pleasure. \ We hope to see you again, perhaps as a future TUM student!
