# From classroom to university lab: Paul discovers bioprocess engineering
Last week (July 21–25, 2025) we welcomed **Paul Blaschko**, a 10th-grade student from **Gymnasium Landau a. d. Isar**, for a one-week internship at the **Professorship for Bioprocess Engineering (BVT), TUM Campus Straubing**.
During his stay, Paul:
- toured our labs and discussed projects with our students,
- pipetted his own **enzyme dilutions**,
- joined a **downstream processing** lecture,
- and dived into literature research on **resveratrol**.
We also appreciated a visit from his teacher, **Ms. Monika Rösler**, for a quick lab tour and progress check. Now Paul is back at school and will present his experience to his peers.
Thank you, Paul—your curiosity and initiative made the week a pleasure. \
We hope to see you again, perhaps as a future **TUM** student!
