Fee reductions apply when progressing immediately to Year 2 of a standard Master of Philosophy or Doctor of Philosophy research programme.

Fee reduction

You will be offered a reduction in tuition fees if you meet both of the following criteria:

• you are a self-funded student who is registered on a standard taught or research masters programme
• you progress immediately into Year 2 of a standard MPhil or PhD research programme

You will be offered a reduction in tuition fees for the year that you transfer to the MPhil or PhD.

This reduction is offered to ensure that, over the full period of your doctoral registration, you are charged the same amount as a student who registered for an MPhil/PhD in the previous session.
