# AOS ID

### Introduction

Your AOS ID is your one account for access to a multitude of technical services. The technology behind AOS ID is [FreeIPA](https://www.freeipa.org/), this allows the IT department to create a single identity account that you can use to log into department websites, servers, printing, remote access and much more.

### Managing your AOS ID

First make sure you are connected on the AOS network. If you are off-campus, please refer to [Remote Access](https://atmos.ucla.edu/it/remote-access/)

You can manage your AOS ID by pointing your browser to <https://kerberos.atmos.ucla.edu>.

### Password

Your AOS ID password is reset every 180 days and must meet the following criteria:

1. Be at least 8 characters long
2. Contain at least 3 of the following: uppercase, lowercase, number, symbol
3. Not based on a dictionary word
4. Not your last previously used password

You can change your password when you are on the AOS network(VPN or WIFI) at [kerberos.atmos.ucla.edu](https://kerberos.atmos.ucla.edu). Once you have logged in, click on your Username for a drop-down menu, then select **Change Password**.
