Result of First-Level Discipline Evaluation

The First-Level Discipline Evaluation is carried out by ChinaAcademic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center (or CDGDC) under theMinistry of Education. It aims to evaluate the overall academic level of first-leveldisciplines that have postgraduate programs and degree awarding authorization. Thefirst-level disciplines are listed on the Degree Awarding and Talent CultivatingDisciplines Catalog issued by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and theAcademic Degrees Committee of the State Council (ADCSC).

43 first-level disciplines of SJTU participated in the 3rdround of this evaluation, 3 of them ranked No. 1 national-wide, 9 ranked top 3,15 ranked top 5, and 29 ranked top 10, indicating that the academic performanceof SJTU is in the leading positions in China.
