- Further information can be found in the LSF under "Commentary", or on the websites of the respective [lecturers](https://www.cup.lmu.de/en/faculty/persons/#professorinnen_professoren). You will find this out in the 1st lecture hour.
[How do I register for courses?](#accordionItem-1294247-2)
See registering for courses above.\
With your enrollment, you will receive an LMU user ID that entitles you to access LSF-course-catalog and many other LMU systems, such as Moodle. [For which teaching events do I have to register?](#accordionItem-1294247-3)
Basically, you only have to register for the internships and exercises you want to participate in via [LSF-course catalog](https://lsf.verwaltung.uni-muenchen.de/ "Link opens in a new window") or the [CUP-website](https://www.cup.lmu.de/de/studiengaenge/anmelden-zu/ "Link opens in a new window"). For further questions, please contact the [Student Advisory Service](https://www.cup.lmu.de/en/study/service-points/).
[Access to Moodle](#accordionItem-1294247-5)
We use MOODLE as a learning management system to accompany and support our courses.
This is how registration on the Moodle learning platform works:
- Go to the website [https://moodle.lmu.de](https://moodle.lmu.de "Link opens in a new window")
- Click on "Login" at the top right.
- Click on "With LMU user ID" (green background).
- Enter your LMU user name and password.
- Click on "Accept" to confirm your data.
- To access the Moodle courses of our faculty, click on "18 Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy" and then on the corresponding degree program. There you can register yourself for the courses you have attended using the "Einschreibeschlüssel" (registration key). You will receive the "Einschreibeschlüssel" and the exact course name from your lecturers in the course and ONLY if you have been admitted to the course. External participants cannot register for Moodle courses.
Technical information\
- Necessary for use: LMU user ID! LMU students can contact the IT Service Desk for information or if you have problems with your user ID.
For optimal use of the website, we strongly recommend that you update your browser software regularly!
If you want to know your way around LMU Moodle better, take a look at the help page provided. To participate in courses, however, it is sufficient to know the following steps:
- Click on Login in the top right corner and on the following page click on "With LMU user ID" and log in on the LMU authentication page with your LMU e-mail address and password.
- Enter the name of your course in the search field.
- Select the course and enroll in the course (possibly with the enrollment key you received from the lecturer).
- That's it. You should now be able to see the course in the bar on the left. If you click on it, you will be taken to the course overview.
You can then simply scroll through the content in a course. Depending on the course, this usually includes PDFs, presentations, text announcements and videos. Sometimes lecturers also use participation options such as forums and live chats.
[Computer Labs](#accordionItem-1294247-6)
The faculty offers all students access to computers and software in five different so-called CIP rooms (= Computer Investment Program). The CIP rooms differ in the type of operating systems and software installed. Further information can be found on the [CIP pool website](https://www.cup.lmu.de/en/faculty/central-facilities/it-services/cip-pools/ "Link opens in a new window").
[Library](#accordionItem-1294247-7)
The departmental Library of Chemistry and Pharmacy is the central library of Faculty 18 and brings together the collections of the four former institute libraries (Institute of Chemistry, Institute of Physical Chemistry, Institute of Pharmacy and Food Chemistry, and Institute of Pharmaceutical Biology).
You will need your LMUcard or library card to borrow books and to use many other services of the University Library.
Further information may be found on this [website](https://www.cup.lmu.de/en/faculty/central-facilities/campus-library/ "Link opens in a new window").
