From our first graduate--Cecilia Helena Payne-Gaposchkin in 1925--through our current graduates, the Astronomy Department showcases an amazing record of placement in premier and competitively sought-after positions in academia, research, and business. Notables have included Nobel Laureates Brian Schmidt, Joseph Taylor, and Adam Reiss.
In 2013, our alumni returned to Cambridge to celebrate All the Stars: A Celebration of Harvard Astronomy - The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
