Helpful hints for uploading documents
To navigate through Banner Self-Service, continuing students please Enter Secure Area using URL: https://selfservice.brown.edu with your username and password.
Newly admitted students may access Banner Self-Service through their Brown Applicant Portal by selecting the Financial Aid Status link.
\ The Banner Self-Service Financial Aid tab houses application requirements, current award information, financial aid messages, and upload financial aid documents.
Helpful hints for uploading documents
- Fill out forms, save on personal computer as pdf; then upload saved form via Banner Self-Service.
- Do not include extra periods in the file name; myFile.pdf, for example.
- Scan in black and white (on some scanners this is monochrome) at a low resolution (200-300 dpi).
- Select "Other"if you are not sure of the correct label to assign to your document.
- Upload one file at time.
