<p>Open to all students in the penultimate year of their course who meet the essential and widening participation criteria.</p>
<p>During the 8 week placement you will: </p>
<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Receive payment equivalent to the real living wage </li>
<li>Stay in college accommodation to experience student life at Cambridge </li>
<li>Be part of a research group to experience real postgraduate study</li>
<li>Undertake training to help you prepare for applying for postgraduate courses</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Placements will start on Monday 6th July 2026, ending Friday 28th August 2026</strong>. </p>

<p>Every year, the autonomous team competes in Formula Student’s Artificial Intelligence competition at Silverstone International Circuit in the UK. Throughout the year, we design an autonomous racing system for a formula-style car and race it against other universities from around the world! Whether you want to improve your engineering, programming or management skills, joining the team will allow you to make amazing friends and learn what it takes to build a race car!</p>
