The next 3MT Competition is in planning for September 2026.

3MT Competition 2026 at UZH

A global contest in science communication, the 3MT® was founded by theUniversity of Queensland. Winners from local contests compete in the global Universitas 21 (U21) virtual final in October.

Participants will have only three minutes to bring the quintessence of their research across to a general audience.

Date / Location TBA 16:00 to 18:00, with a live audience RAA-G-01 (Rämistrasse 59, 8001 Zurich)
Jury TBA
Awards Jury Awards: 700 CHF first place, 500 CHF runner-up Audience Award: 300 CHF The best presentation (1st place, Jury Award) will go on to compete in the global U21 3MT® Competitionas a video submission in October 2026.
ECTS Those participating in both the 3MT Training and the 3MT Competition will receive 1 ECTS credit as part of the Graduate Campus Transferable Skills course program.
