The Office for Graduate Educator Advancement and Teaching (GREAT) empowers graduate students and postdocs, with evidence-based teaching and learning practices, to meaningfully support educator professional development and holistic well-being.
GREAT prepares graduate students and postdoc educators to thrive on a variety of career paths including higher education, public, private, and nonprofit sectors, and to become transformative leaders who contribute meaningfully in local and global communities.
## Goals:
1. **Provide** programs, workshops, Lunch & Learns, resources, and consultations that **support** the application of effective, evidence-based teaching and assessment practices.
2. **Foster** caring conversations about equitable and inclusive pedagogy across disciplines **provide** exceptional educational experiences to a diverse student population.
3. **Collaborate** with units across campus to **advocate** for graduate students’ and postdocs’ teaching, learning, scholarship, and wellbeing.
4. **Cultivate** and **nurture** community through social gatherings, celebrations, and meaningful connections across disciplines.\
